Quick jaunt into Woodstock--"quick" being the operative word here. We found a supposedly dog-friendly spot online (Bringfido.com) but was told upon arrival that only service dogs were allowed. Departure from Nyack (we got dropped off just a bit out of NYC to avoid traffic) went well. We cycled approximately 65 km (40 miles). It was quite hilly (a lot more than what I am used to) but we eventually made it to Beacon, NY where we camped for the night in someone's backyard.

Another sleep in and slow start. Kate, Chris and the boys stayed overnight so there were a lot of people milling about in the kitchen. We sat by the lake with our coffees and talked. It was so beautiful and peaceful.
