Hjemme i DK
Endelige landet i Odense efter en hjemtur over alt forventning. Iceland Air er et godt selvskab. Man skal bare tage sin egen mad med hjemme fra, og høretelefoner med alm stil. Så kan man klare hvilken som helst tur. Ellers køber man det bare i flyet til lidt overpris. Benpladsen var fin og flyet nyt. Dog små fly, så vi sad 3 og 3 fra Denver og 2 og 2 fra Island. Og underligt nok, har jeg for første gang fået ...
Legoland is not just for 5yr olds...
... breads, fruit, chocolate! It was fantastic. The next day we head to the famous Hans Christian Andersen's place of birth & museum (He wrote fairytales like the Ugly Duckling and Thumblina) and is huge in Denmark.
Later that evening we get driven to a place to Billund which is host to Simon's favourite place so far..Legoland! If you turn up exactly at 7.30pm you get in for free - excellent. Even at this time there was still hundreds of people everywhere, kids, pushchairs ...
7th EuroGym in Odense, Denmark
... and fun to teach. I've always enjoyed doing workshops as all the participants are always so motivated and enthusiastic and it's so great to see them achieving something by the end of the class. Sometimes I even learn a few things from them!
In the free time we napped, walked around the city and watched some performances and of course in the evenings we went out for a drink... or 2. The city was actually quite crazy this ...
Day eight

We had time to waste for the next bus so strolled around the library which was within this centre. The strangest thing was that as I started to browse the shelves I saw directly in front of me the Ian McKewan book I had just read…On Chesil Beach. In Danish of course.
The bus dropped us off at the station and we took the inter city express train back to Odense. Anne picked up some of ...
Day seven
Tuesday, May 4th
We both had a good nights sleep and had a good breakfast. We were getting into the habit of selecting the same food each day. For me it was a cereal with strawberry yoghurt and fruit salad, an egg on rye bread and a pastry. I would drink my Maccas juice and have a cup of coffee. And so it was every morning in this Odense Hotel. This particular day Anne wrapped up some cold meat and cheese as a lunchtime snack to be added to the bread we had saved ...
