... So we got up around 7 to get ready for the three-hour tour, Sophie came with us. We arrived too early, so we had to wait for our guide, John. John's got family in Friesland and he knew a few Dutch expressions which he repeated often while kayaking, such as 'fantastisch' and 'heel mooi' and he thought these were Frisian (which they aren't), but he didn't know 'oant moarn' (which is Frisian).

Meagan and Leah had left that afternoon to attend the Texas Youth Conference so we didn’t see them but our three kids hit it off with Josh and Ethan pretty quickly.

We spent lots of time talking whilst the kids played indoor basketball, darts and jungle speed amidst lots of laughter and fun.

This is a working harbour with lots of fishing boats and the little Autobus boats run from the wharf as well.

For curiosity sake we tried Jill the GPS to direct us to the camping shop on the corner of Johnson and government St. Worked a treat but they or the other camping shop didn't have any fishing gear or Columbia Coats. The Original Christmas Shop (thought of Denise) was closed what a pity and we were tired of ...
