The meat was excellent – not dry, deep smoke ring, with a very good dry rub. This was an amazing BBQ place on a less traveled road. ... freeway"option. After a very frustrating day of travel we arrived in Belfast, Maine. Although we are on Penobscot Bay, it's still the Atlantic. Belfast is a really cute little fishing/resort town. We have a nice motel just outside of town. Since we have no more folkssport walks until Lansing, Michigan, we get to sleep in tomorrow. 3, 2, 1 ... Blastoff!!! Today is the day we head west. Ok, we have to go west from here to get anywhere.

The weather is NOT in our favor. Rain all day and cold - all up and down the eastern part of the country. We were toying with the idea of heading to South Carolina, maybe even Florida then heading seriously west but we are going to make our decision later as we work our way south.

Dixie and I went on yet another adventure to the Town of Owls Head, Maine capturing the true heart of this Coastal Community. Lobster. We learned that the Lobstermen of these parts pull out there Lobster traps and buoys just before winter because of the harsh weather conditions consistently staying in the teens and well into the negative temperatures. Most Lobstermen pull up these traps by hand hence why its absolutely understandable why they are all stacked on this ...
