cousins had not seen each other for 18 years! We enjoyed sharing Bobbi’s mom’s 40’s and 50’s photos, which Skip had scanned into the computer. What memories! Archie grilled burgers and everyone enjoyed the BEST Iowa sweet corn we have ever had! We spent our last day in the Marshalltown area on a sentimental journey touring Bobbi’s hometowns and haunts of ...
... Other than that, the place was great! Nice facilities...nice people...for the most part. There were trains, but way off in the distance. We'd go back, but not in the summer. It was +31 at 10am! ( Not the Corn Huskers of Nebraska!) 47% goes to ethanol production and they produce 30% of the ethanol. Who knew. Turns out Illinois is #2. ...
Suzie turned 40 and she wanted to go camping. We loaded up Bugout1 and hit the road. We picked Red Rock, Iowa's largest lake. We stayed at Whitebreast campsite which is on the southern tip of the lake. We reserved spot#76 which was the end of the road in this campground. Completely shaded and away from most others. Sunny and 72 was our Friday. Perfect weather. Starving once we arrived so we whipped up a couple of sandwiches and chips n dip. Cracked Peace Tree's growler of Soundcheck ...
