... coast. The section is known as Big Sur and it 'Sur' does deliver in a Big way. The road clinged onto sheer cliff as it wound along the pacific coast while the sea below gleamed in the beautiful sunshine. The road so pretty we had to skip a few viewpoints at the end least we be stranded upon it at night. We stopped at our hotel by the beach and admired the fading sunset by ...

I'd 'sat waiting and not moved in a place that he would have been able to see me whilst he had fun on a ride whilst I sat miserably!' I thought. It was solid. We were pleased to get to our hotel. By the time we had had settled in and had some dinner it was 11:00pm. Time for sleep. No rush tmorrow morning though.

It's hard to believe that we left Hilo over a week ago. After we went to Hilo our next stop was the island of Maui. We docked in the town of Kahului which is the only deep water port in has a population of 20,000 and is not a tourist area. So we did the typical tourist thing- we went shopping. Because we've been gone so long we needed to stock up on toiletries, soda, and wine! Cunard allows you to bring your own alcohol onboard, so we had ...
