... 20 minutes for everyone to use the restroom, the female tour guide asked the guests if everyone was out of the restrooms. She did not leave them there! One of the guests volunteered to go back and check, and she thanked them for that. This took another 5 minutes before it was determined that we were all present and accounted for, prior to beginning the tour.

... large group of people all lined up in an alleyway behind Hollywood blvd. As we got closer we could hear a familiar voice singing. We then got to the gate and saw Gwen Stefani and No Doubt warming up for a mini concert. we stopped for a while but it was going to be a while before they played full on so we got back on the metro for the hotel. So that was day two in LA...tomorrow Universal Studios.......till then ..........
los angeles, California, United States sandineil... I would have walked there faster.
The check-in process was a breeze with the friendly and enthusiastic Platinum agent, on her third day in the job, without any prompting told me that I have been upgraded to a suite and that I had “complimentary ...
... Flagstaff (very nice town) Arizona to ski for a day. Again, no snow for weeks, then it snowed the night we got in and the next day was excellent Spring skiing. Oh, and nothing but blue overhead. Almost forgot La Canyon Grande. All the tourists park their cars, file out, shuffle along the edge, "click, click", "wow", then drive back to their motels. But to really feel it more than just watching a National Geographic special, you gotta hike down in it. So we spent ...
Los Angeles, California, United States princeprince... pictures of all this to follow but can't add them on this comp! We decided to spend some money on going in to the "hollywood wax museum" something that I must stress to all of you to NEVER DO. It's rrrrubbish!!! It was meant to be full of celebrity wax works, we foolishly thought it would be on the same par as Madame Tussaud's, but inactuality it was a bunch of weird looking maniquins dressed up to look like characters in films. My particular favourites were Peter Parker aka ...
Los Angeles, California, United States barkmecca... big guys have these little rats skipping along next to them. RETRACTION : Ash asked me to set the record straight..... it was not Sally Field that smiled at her, but "Kevin"!!! Sorry for that one!!!! Sally Field was too busy checking that she wasn't going to stand on our feet, which was how close to them we were!!! As you all know ... I am a professional groupie!!! Tomorrow is our last day in LA. We have lots to do ...
Los Angeles, California, United States scatterling... had to around to the front. We queued for ages and realised we were in the flaming wrong queue! Finally bought tickets and lined up to go through more security x-ray things. We went upstairs, bought a couple of hotdogs 'cos apperently that's what you do and headed off to our seats. The inside was amazing. I'm sure it could easily hold 60,000 people, it was huge. We got in for the national anthem which was great and the "show" finally got underway. The game itself was ok. The ...
Los Angeles, California, United States couplakiwis... but geez it was a long way down. I would have to say the Mummy Return ride was a little worse as it's a roller coaster in the dark and don't forget they take you backwards aswell. Universal Studios wasn't full of rides but mainly focuses on how movies and T.V shows are made so it was very interesting. Hollywood to Beverly Hills to Disneyland to Universal Studios we couldn't possibly have fitted anything else in! Our next stop was Las Vegas!
Los Angeles, California, United States nelson_courts... So we went through Customs and they were quite friendly and not at all like we had been led to believe they would be.(SOBS) We drove to Seattle and saw the World famous Pike market and the Space needle, both can be missed but the shopping was !!! We then drove down to Portland Oregon ,which is about half way down from the border to San Fransisco, the place is a hippy flower peace place but it made you feel very uneasy, not that anything happened but you thought that it ...
Los Angeles, California, United States chrisandjacquiOK, here is a second update to my adventures in the US... 10/10/2005 Today we left LA for the first time and travelled down to the Orange County (OC) where dean has been staying with an American family and coaching. They are a very nice family and have made me very welcome. Had a relaxing day, before coaching in the evening and then eating a Taco Bell (mexican fast food) watching American football and baseball. 11/10/2005 Started ...
