    ... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. Yep- gotta get a cholesterol check once we return ...

    ... the real deal. The traditional buildings, and old fashioned style give tourist a true “southern hospitality” feeling. There were plenty of people around me who were also taking pictures, buying merchandise, but mostly, enjoying the fresh air, and absorbing all of the history, and culture.

    ... ham was very good, they had not been asked for this one before! We also had Mediterranean, Papa.s favourite and Pepperoni. A very good feast.

    Paul and I were also introduced to the delights of Root Beer, which was very nice. But Peach tea...no.
    We then finished up the day sitting out and chatting till 8.30 in temps of 25c

    ... Looks like Lisa and I will have some nice weather in Paris until we leave on Sunday for St Jean Pied de Port. Weather is looking good for the first week of our Pilgrimage. Looks like it could hit 80 by the time we get to Roncesvalles. So much for the weather forecast!
