uh... wow? (how long can a person survive on almost no food and lots of caffeine?)
... way to Charles bridge and walked across, investigating some vendor shops and enjoying the bands playing. One band in particular was fantastic, the Bridge Band (on YouTube). Some delicious food we had was a local pastry called tudlor which was basically dough wrapped around a stick, roasted over a fire and then sprinkled with sugar. Delicious! ... curiously little advertising for it. I guess a beer festival in the Czech Republic just isn't all that big of a deal :) The metro and trams got us there pretty quick. I didn't know it then, but the grounds were only a minute or two away from us when we were at the beer garden yesterday. ... was nearly 8pm so we saw the hourly chiming of the astronomical clock which had the parts moving as was well worth the wait.
In a back street we found a local brewery pub and got out of the cold and into the warmth of food and beer. Joel had dumplings filled with pork and I had beef goulash. Pretty epic pub food.
