    ... paths were quite charming (other than trying to roll you suitcase over them - it which case it inspired creativity as we navigated the smoothest path to avoid our arms jostling out of their sockets).     It is early evening and I'm sitting in the Grote Markt of Brugge (or Bruges in French). The bells of the Belfry are chiming because it just turned half past six.
