    ... I was hoping to be able to get a little closer to the waterfall, but it wasn’t possible. There were some very nice cascades above the waterfall, however. So we started hiking back. Where Gum Gap and Raven Cliff Falls Trails intersect, we turned right to go to the overlook for the waterfall. The view here, however, isn’t very good.     ... immensely thick, and you can see that many a pioneer from the early days could have become hopelessly lost in no time. Eventually came to a little town called Boone where we booked in to a Super 8 Motel for one night. Didn't check in straight away, but instead drove on up to the brewery.
