We arrived at the Rothensteiner Apartments on Sunday night and from first impressions, it was very rustic. The decor is old fashioned (verging on the haunted!) but beautiful and consistent throughout the rooms. The rooms are very large and spacious with free wifi and TV in each room. Highly recommended!

We were headed to see sunset on the Danube River, so we didn't stop for a beer (sorry, Dad). There is a Bridge of Fame to a small island on the river. The bridge had markers for famous European music acts - most we didn't know, except for the ever favorite ABBA. Didn't have time for a river cruise, but maybe next time. Vienna is a city, Mike ...

An ossuary is anything that is designed to be the final resting place for human bones. In this case, it was a church. There are estimated to be between 40,000 and 70,000 people whose bones are used inside the church. The people died from the plague and since there were so many bones, a monk decided to ...

We did however have a five hour stopover in Denmark so I ushered Rach into her 7th continent and proceeded to explore as much as we could in the time we had. First stop, the seventeenth century Nyhavn Canal with its very colourful buildings.

... so it was perfect. There were also these very small screens that translated the opera in English so we were all able to understand everything. The opera was about this little vixen who had been taken by a man and they fell in love (weird I know) and then the vixen ran away and fell in love with a fox and in the end she died.... Something like that haha. Loved every minute of today and I hope I run into some of the people I have met another time because they were all ...

I had hurt my back the day before the excursion so was in a little bit of pain throughout the day but was in a lot of pain by the time ...
