Travel Blogs from Vienna
Hello! Welcome to my first entry in my travel blog! (Hopefully not the last)!!
So after an hour delay at Gatwick, we were finally on our way to Vienna. Let me introduce the company of 'Popular' - the people I will be spending the next 6 months with!
They are Tim Bond, Ewan Petrie and Becky Gell. And not forgetting our wonderful …
... and we found ourselves surrounded by Australians!
Our first impressions of Vienna are of a very structured cosmopolitan city, the metro is very easy to use and in no time at all we were in our modern apartment in Singerstrasse. Unfortunately the weather is due to deteriorate on Sunday and we are her for just 3 days so this afternoon we set off for the Schonbrunn Palace. We had heard it was very crowded ...
... we only went 30 minutes out of our way but by that time we were exhausted. We did happen by a small market right before it closed and decided to pick up some fruit, meat and cheese along with a local bottle of wine and call it a night. What a great day....hoping for more wonders tomorrow. It is supposed to rain all day so not sure what our plans are but all it good in Vienna. Guten Nacht!!! (Good Night)

... WW1! However not that simple because the Austrian empire had just been formed (holy Roman Empire was ended by Franz Joseph II because of napoleon Bonaparte) which included the Slavic ppl who were ****** off at being joined. So a Slav kills the heir and ww1 starts. But again not that simple because the whole of Europe was a bit ****** off at each other for whatever reason. Anyway, two of the big names in history that most ppl know (tatine being the obvious exception hahaha) ...

TravelPod Member ReviewsRothensteiner Apartments Vienna
We arrived at the Rothensteiner Apartments on Sunday night and from first impressions, it was very rustic. The decor is old fashioned (verging on the haunted!) but beautiful and consistent throughout the rooms. The rooms are very large and spacious with free wifi and TV in each room. Highly recommended!
