We arrived at the Rothensteiner Apartments on Sunday night and from first impressions, it was very rustic. The decor is old fashioned (verging on the haunted!) but beautiful and consistent throughout the rooms. The rooms are very large and spacious with free wifi and TV in each room. Highly recommended!

I think this may be my longest blog ever, and definitely took the most time to finish.

With the exception of one short stop to see the inside of the St. Stephens cathedral, we spent the day window shopping and admiring the architecture. The first shopping stop was at the Jakob Meindl ...
... per city, there are some places where his group are staying for fewer than twenty-four hours. Whilst this means that he gets to see many more places than us, it seemed odd that you might not even give yourself a chance to get to understand the ways of a place. Actually, on advice from a friend, we were originally only intending on spending a day in Vienna; however complications with a train booking meant that we ended up having an extra day here. I'm so glad that it ...
... fishing cabins with interesting nets that the owners just lowered into the river on a pulley system. The boat ride was 90 minutes, so we arrived into Vienna just after noon. We had picked up a Vienna map at the Bratislava boat ticket office and mapped out how to get to our hotel, so we started walking through town. The forecast had been for showers and overcast skies but it was sunny and warm- along the way we had to peel some layers off. We walked past St. Michael's church ...
