Yesterday was a long one but rewarding because the trip went
well. We arrived in Patra at 4pm, had supper then took a cab to the ferry port.
We ensured there would be no luggage fee or port fee before we left. After getting ripped off by the other taxi driver who doubled our fare for, "port fees and luggage." Actually

Wakeup call at 5.30am, a quick shower and back to the airport for our 8.15 flight to Venice.
Made it thru passport control and met up with Jenny and Pete at the baggage carousel.

... We wait and are actively ignored by the staff. It takes 10 minutes of standing there to convince them that we really want to eat there and we're not going away. I finally make eye contact with a middle aged waiter in white shirt and white hair. He tells us to wait at the tables across the walkway. More people line up to get ignored. It's satisfying to see their shocked faces as a waitress make a grand waving gesture to tell us to come over and sit ...
