I braved the crowds, crossing the Grand Canal to the Pescaria, the fish market. The traghetto is a gondola/ferry which costs 2 Euro. As long as I have my headphones on, I am able to create a bubble to navigate in. And I even purchased a fillet (not experienced enough to get a whole fish yet) of something like cod. ... a gondola ride! Found a gondola dock right near the Rialto bridge. Di and Claudia, I think it was next to the restaurant we ate dinner at the very first night we were in Venice.
