... On our way it's absolutely miserable weather, I took a couple of photos outside the bus to show us crossing the bridge and what it was like outside. A scene from the movie the Longest Yard was filmed here. Regardless of the weather you can see how pretty it is. Very green and marshy so far. Heat index was 110 degrees today, and our generator sputtered and died.
We had to rely on the dash A/C to cool the entire motor home, and it just wouldn't handle it. In fact, it was so hot we thought it needed more Freon. We took it to a Chev. dealer in Tallahassee and he said he would have to charge $165.00 to charge it. Said they had to drain out all ...

... noon. (Needed to be in Columbus, OH by Wednesday and didn't want to hurry). Started out of CW - What the Heck! Loud cracking popping scraping noises from behind me. Thought we had a cabinet falling off. Entry steps vibrating at every bump! Did a U-turn, back to CW, and gave it back to them! Told we had to take it to the factory in Iowa to get the slide fixed. Stopped at Tallahassee Camping World to look at a new Itasca Ellipse. There are several upgrades to this model that would be nice. Negotiated a great deal, decided we should go ahead and do it. It's only $$, and we spend 5 months a year doing this. Techs found a leak in the water line going to the refrigerator, so we went to Big Oak RV Park on their recommendation. Not the best decision. It was ok, lots of permanents, roads narrow.
