We had a great drive up into the mountains. The drive up was curvy and we stopped a few times to look at rubber trees, spice plants, and waterfalls.
The Dew Drops Home stay is quiet and the temp has cooled down into the 80s. There are occasional rains, but nothing sustained. The result is a misty mountain experience. The guest house is located at above 5000 ft elevation. Barb and I ...
... we visit the dam that has created the large lake in the area and then do some speed boating on the lake. We were a little leery about the speed boating but decided to accept his suggestions and we were all glad we did. As we walked across the dam we saw the lake on our left and the narrow valley on our right with the dam spillway providing water for the valley's river. And 15 minutes of speed boating for $6 is pretty good. The area around the ...

We have been to many Ghats sections and climbed mountains in car, but never seen such a planned and beautiful safety roads to climb and move through valleys. Thanks to British guys making this wonderful planning. We reached our destination @ 1pm, after refreshing we had lunch. We knew that the dusk will be very quick in the hilly and forest areas, so we have to chase the time and give some happiness to mind and sceneries to eyes. Good that ...

Munnar, India captainkira... are, of course a bit of a tribe here) in three separate locations told me of. The Man, the Myth, the Legend, standing before me. Turns out that he remembered the Englishman who had spoken so highly of him, and also my old friend Omar, the Israeli hippy guy whose red bike I almost bought before I found Rocinante. Munnar, Kerala, India bloomer... stuff. Kerry ordered aloo ghobi for us to share and basically off you go shovelling the stuff in liberal handfuls with your fingers, brilliant! When you finished you just fold the leaf in half and the waiter pops it in the bin. The food was delicious and along with water and masala tea came to about two quid for the both of us. Munnar, India jeznkez... to heat up water for washing off the oil afterwards) and it was very thorough!!!! I did have a little loin cloth on and the doctor was very proper and correct (however he would never have been allowed to massage an Indian lady!). Unfortunately I didn't relax much as my buttocks were firmly clenched the whole time!!!!!!! Hari was horrified when we told him. Debbie and I had a great dinner, exchanging stories of our experience!
