Amana Colonies is one of America's longest-lived communal societies beginning in 1714 in Germany and continues today here on the Iowa prairie. We left Grand Island to a beautiful sunrise. Not many times do you have a great sunset and then get to see the big fireball in the East come morning. What it does tell you is we are out and on the road early. This is another day we will be logging 350 plus miles. First whole day at the Rally in Sturgis. What a busy day! Up at dawn. Hot water, good deal. Love it when the days starts reasonable. OK. Things to remember if I come back. Get a room or at least a site with power. The camping is free, they have showers, but only the real payers have water and power. How.small a generator do they make.
