    ... all using the name Amana and a second word. South Amana, East Amana, West Amana, North Amana, High Amana, and Middle Amana. The residents in the early days received housing, medical care, meals, schooling, etc.Jobs were assigned but no one received a wage.

    Today is another windmill day. Seem like there are more and more as we move along. Must say it does not make for a great view. We find it interesting that many are not running. The temperature is rising so we have to turn on the generator so we can run the rooftop AC. That's better. After lunch we run into increasing winds. Not quite like riding a bucking bronco, but close.
