... with our spanish we managed to work our way downtown following the river Nervión from the airport until our arrival in Bilbao.
We hopped off the bus at a stop on the Puente Euskalduna (Bridge of Euskalduna) where we were instantly stunned by the modern architecture of this bridge as well as the impeccably designed Guggenheim Museum just off to the right of the bridge. We were instantly gratified with our first sights of this modern city.

Oihane’s family welcomed me like one of their own – and I loved spending time with them. Marie-Carmen taught me how to make Spanish Tortilla, and even though I was horrified by the amount of olive oil needed to prepare it (about ¾ of a liter!!!) Transports of delight
... War and the gondola is a recent update. But it is still classed as the oldest transporter bridge in the world. It was interesting to watch cars and pedestrians being moved from one side to the other dangling on the gondola at road level.

Well, today is/was the last day of the family stay. The family has been nice. Today I packed and colOres, not really anything else. Sorry I have nothing more interesting to write!
