... eye steaks (which the waiter seemed to have a surprised tone in his voice when I also ordered one, he clearly misjudged my size :) ) and they were just devine!! so if you're ever in Cape Town you must go to this place mmmmm yum! While we were eating our dinner we heard this amazing voice singing Italian opera behind us, here I thought this was one guy and ok so I pictured a very mature white male with a massive belly on him (think Pavarotti but perhaps blonde and clean shaven...), oh ...

... to really come down. This was unfortunate as almost all of the gardens were outside. We were the only people in the entire place and walked around for about an hour checking out all the plants and flowers (for a bunch of pictures show all thumbnails above). I was hoping to get some colorful pics, but the gardens were mostly just green being that we were in Cape Town during their winter months.

... Wüstenland Lybien werden wir nur kurz traversieren und einige römische Ruinen am Mittelmeer sehen. Von Tunesien wird uns die Fähre aufs europäische Festland nach Italien bringen. Durch Italien geht es bei Nicole's Familie und Marvin's Freunden in der Schweiz vorbei. Im Winter werden wir nach 8 1/2 Monaten Reise in Deutschland ankommen. ... has been so nice to have him in Cape Town with us - we have done tons of cool stuff and hung out so much together. I will miss him. Andrew wants us to finish our trip in Maine - I wonder if we will? This afternoon, they left for the airport. ... the Pacific Coast Highway but on steroids. Cape Town is a big city and parts of it are as first world as what we have at home. Then you can drive a mile and see cardboard shantytowns. It's a shame that crime is so rampant because this really is probably one of the prettiest spots on earth for a city. Check back soon and I will have some pictures of Cape Town on here. I really soaked in the environment here as I always read about this place as a kid and it was awe-inspiring to actually be here. The Atlantic had a pumping swell that day too so the waves were HUGE.
