Travelling to the far north
The day began with a drive around Acadia National Park with its numerous scenic overlooks: of a sandy beach (the only one in the area), a thunderous blowhole, various rocky points and, the highest part of the island, Cadillac Mountain. Three cruise ships were in today and again made for a beautiful scene on this glorious day.

Digby scallops but no whales
We explored Port Royal - the original French settlement from 1608 which was destroyed by the English colonists from Virginia in 1616. The site has been reproduced in great exactness and was very interesting. Port Royal was later rebuilt where present-day Annapolis Royal exists. Finally to Nova Scotia
The PEI Potato Museum in O'Leary was very informative. We now know more about potatoes than we probably need to know and even bought an all potato cookbook. From O'Leary we drove through Summerside - the major potato shipping port. PEI is home to both Cavendish Farms and McCains and ships potatoes worldwide. After trying Cows Ice Cream which was wonderful (we had missed the factory tour), we crossed over the Confederation Bridge back to New Brunswick ...
Won't you take me to......CharlotteTOWWWWN
... we anticipated, which unfortunately has come at the cost of stopping anywhere in nova scotia, which is a shame. We drove through the entire province last night and are currently on the ferry from digby, ns back to new brunswick where we will begin our united states part of the journey.
