From there, we took the Digby Island Coastal Drive to the end of the island. As we got about half way there, the fog (marine layer for some of you) rolled in, so we could not see much, but as we headed back to Digby, the fog lifted and we were able to check out some neat fishing harbors, and coves.

He explains the symbols and art on the tombstones, the variety and significance of the stones and the artists who carved them, mixed with funny stories that bring the graveyard alive. ... The inside joke stuck for the rest of the week. The Eglise Ste Marie at Church Point was an absolutely beautiful church (and I'm not a church person). The church is said to be the tallest and biggest wooden church in North America. It was quite interesting to note the anchor on the roof on the inside.
