... to worry about. I mean it is an awesome hole in the ground and it is amazing to see it something like this in Texas, but the pictures I've seen could not been seen in person. We stopped at one place and had lunch then spent the next two hours walking lunch off. While we were driving around we also checked out the campgrounds. ... of one. There are three different kinds and the one that we took a photo of is called a Safety Rest Stop because it has a bomb shelter for people to go to during a tornado warning. We wonder whether the local people all flock to the highways to go to these rest stops when there is a tornado warning.

Down the Route a ways, we found Lucille's Gas Station, a historic two-pump gas station outside Hydro, OK. We stopped for lunch at her namesake resturant down the road and then let the girls drive again as a part of the last leg of the trip into Amarillo, but we couldn't pass Groom, TX without a quick visit to the World's Largest Cross. ... in Santa Rosa for lunch and crossed the Texas border around 4, which meant we lost another hour, so instead of 4, it was 5. Just west of Amarillo, we went to the Cadillac Ranch. We signed the cars and someone there gave us a spray paint can so Dan added his touch. We also went to the Helium Time Columns. It is amazing what's out there to see!
