As we sit down to write this blog the sun has come out. Not the same when we left this morning, low clouds and rain. Well a couple days ago we were told by a lovely couple of a covered bridge in Madison county which they had seen that morning, they said this was the bridge used in the famous film. "The Bridges of Madison County" so we had to go, having been given ...

... it was 10:45pm before we got back to the campground and we were exhausted. Tomorrow we are headed to Franklin, NC to see Jeff's Grandfather and his wife Mary Lou . Franklin is just over an hour drive from Asheville so we are leaving early in the morning so we can go to church with them and then spend the afternoon together.

Day #5 was a success, yet not without adventure. Until tomorrow.....

... to the top. I would love to say the view was gorgeous and it was but definitely cloudy. We could actually see the clouds moving. Fortunately we were able to see some pretty views from one side before the clouds totally settled over us.

On my way back down we were all smiles and we encouraged and lied to the people who were climbing this ...
