A little wine please

A travel blog entry by macysmarti on Sep 19, 2014

It was a good day yesterday, sunny and warm. The RV park had a wine tasting last evening from a local winery. We bought the bottles that the RV Park had of the red which was very good. We will swing by the winery when we leave to get a case @ 50% off. We did say our trip was to enjoy the wine country. We met another ...

Took it a bit easier this morning and left at 10am. First stop was literally 5 minutes down the road at the Tillamook Cheese factory. We did a self guided tour of the factory followed by lots of cheese tasting. Then about 2 minutes further down the road we stopped at another cheese tasting place. Yes, we like our cheese. The camera is smarter than I am, I have several pictures of Jani but don't know how to add them to the blog. Next time I will make sure I ...

... where it flowed into the Yakima River, then turned south along the Yakima. It was a beautiful morning, and we reminded ourselves to stop and take pictures, something we knew we might forget, since we’re so familiar with the scenery. We cruised along with a nice tailwind as far as the Arboretum, then followed Highway 24 east for a short distance before turning south again along the river. Near Union ...

... that all present were able to enjoy both genres, despite being light years apart. "I guess maybe I'm more of a city boy than I thought," I regretfully admitted.

After a few long nights in Bend, the two slow, relaxed nights I spent in Granger were perfect. I was fighting off a flu (horrible cold sweats both nights to the point where my sheets were damp, light headed, body aches...) and just basic exhaustion. Also, I had ...
