After Tianzifang it was off to Nanjing Road for some clothes shopping where I picked up some corduroy button up shirts perfect for the coming winter, some under shirts, and a pair of purple pants that Michelle some how convinced me to buy. She said that disco is back in fashion now...She got a green leather jacket and some sweaters. It was a very Shanghai day.

... før vi fant ut at det kunne være passe kult å komme seg over på andre siden av elven, hvor alle de megahøye byggene står. Letteste måte å gjøre dette på var å ta en slags saktegående mini-undergrunnsbane, hvor hele tunnellen var fyllt opp av blinkende lys og animert kunst. En høyst merkverdig og rar opplevelse, men også litt morsomt. Happy 3 months wedding anniversary to us! To mark our special day, we rode the train overnight and arrived in the city of Shanghai! The train ride was only 20 hours long and those hard sleepers can get to be quite hard after that length of time. We both slept for a good 10 hours each though, so that was nice. ... everyone speaks English. So TJ and I tossed the disc around for a bit out in front of the Big Brother-correlating statue of Mao. This made for a knee-slapping good time and may have been a burden to the graduates taking photos and couples peacefully loving each other on the lawn, but made it all the funnier.
