Today we went wine tasting, which is the primary activity in Fauquier County, other than anything to do with horses. I don't necessarily recommend going wine tasting where the other half lives, as the cost is commensurately inflated. The first winery we went to wanted $10 per person to taste five wines. The cheapest wine on the list was $24 bottle …

Driving north on Friday afternoon isn't too onerous if you leave early enough, and with the exception of one bad spot in Warrenton, where we sat through at least five cycles of one traffic light, we made good time and had a pleasant trip. This Inn is pricey, but situated in a beautiful part of Virginia on a beautiful piece of land. The staff are friendly and laid back, and we spent a nice, restful, peaceful weekend. The food in the restaurant is outstanding!
