This Inn is pricey, but situated in a beautiful part of Virginia on a beautiful piece of land. The staff are friendly and laid back, and we spent a nice, restful, peaceful weekend. The food in the restaurant is outstanding!

Today we went wine tasting, which is the primary activity in Fauquier County, other than anything to do with horses. I don't necessarily recommend going wine tasting where the other half lives, as the cost is commensurately inflated. The first winery we went to wanted $10 per person to taste five wines. The cheapest wine on the list was $24 bottle …

Driving north on Friday afternoon isn't too onerous if you leave early enough, and with the exception of one bad spot in Warrenton, where we sat through at least five cycles of one traffic light, we made good time and had a pleasant trip. Checked into the Blackthorne Inn, a B&B housed in a house that once belonged to George Washington, about 4: …

... unwind and visiting. Today the biggest thing on the agenda is to make a run to an auto parts store for more fuses and motor oil. As I've said already, the Mini is running great except for the occasional blown fuse. While the potential of stalling out in traffic, on the freeway is a bit stressful, I think we can live with the fuse problem until we get home. I may not post again until we get back on the road again, probably Monday. Until then, cheers from South Riding, VA. ...

... even if I have to just write them in bullet points, to go back to. Even though I do find it a little unnerving publishing it to the worldwide web, just so that I can print it off and delete everything later. Note to self: be careful what you divulge to the internet world. "Nothing is ever private, nothing is ever erased" ...I can hear my mothers words now. Anyways, I of course found this quote on pinterest, but I really like it because ...

... and learn some more - how funny.

I go back to bed for more sleep and Paul goes out to get us some lunch.

Later in the day John and Paul pick up some parts from Patriot HD to do a fluid change on our bike as the bike has done 5000 miles - it only had 443 miles on it when we picked it up. John did a great job and showed Paul how to do it for next time. Paul then mounted the Australian and American flags on the back of the bike, and ...
