This Inn is pricey, but situated in a beautiful part of Virginia on a beautiful piece of land. The staff are friendly and laid back, and we spent a nice, restful, peaceful weekend. The food in the restaurant is outstanding!

This area was conquered /crossroads for many major civilizations: Greeks, Persian, Turks...It was totally destroyed, inhabitants massacred by Genghis Khan 1221. A few eroded ruins are left, and a mausoleum has been restored. One of the tombs has become a site of Muslim pilgrimage, and it was interesting to see the local tourists.

I haven't asked where their final destination is but it would be funny if they showed up tomorrow morning. We spend tonight at the Marriott at Washington Dulles. Our big bags are checked through to Guatemala so we won't see those until tomorrow. It's probably a good thing since we get to skip the check in lines in the morning. We fly out at 9:00 so it's not that bad at ...

... The Voice of the Philippines” it is clear that the Filipino is an entertainer at heart. It’s quite amusing and fun to watch, actually.

I also witnessed a little of the politics in the Philippines as well since I was there as the President, Benigno Aquino, gave his “State of the Nation” address (“SONA”). Now I know nothing about this president or his policies so I make no sweeping political statements, but the Philippines ...
