    ... seem to be very labour intensive . Many people were working in the fields. We took the 101 for a short while then the 154 towards Santa Barbara and stopped at Lake Cachuma and the Bradbury Dam . everything here is named after someone! Our hotel is only a couple of blocks from the beach, harbour and Stearns Wharf where we ate in the aptly named Moby Dick!! Miles today - 237 and the temperature went over 100!! Sunset is getting earlier each ...

    ... 30 knot range. In an effort to keep the sand" flour" out of the boat we closed all windows, ports, vents and doors. And still the sand flour got into and onto everything - the bed, our shoes and all surfaces, be they vertical or horizontal, it didn't matter. The floors were covered as were the counter tops. Don't forget eyes and nose. All day our eyes burned like they do when you are very tired. Our noses got all stuffed up. Sleeping ...

    ... only a Red Oxx rucksack which is carry-on size, and a messenger bag, so we aren't checking anything. As a now nearly 31-year-old....lady?...I can't help but worry that my wardrobe and makeup restrictions will leave me feeling sad and frumpy. BUT, I'll be in Europe for god's sake.     ... just been transported to another world in that little cove. There were no other people down there with us, it was so peaceful and serene, I wish I could bottle that feeling. It is one of the favourite moments from the trip so far. Our next stop was McWay Falls, a waterfall plunging from the cliff side and straight into the beautiful blue ocean.     ... today was another relaxing day spent at the pool and on a scenic drive up the mountains behind Ojai. We may rent out some bikes tomorrow but the temperature Is going to be in the high 30's so we need to take heed of that.
