Whangamata Hotels - Reviews and Rates

We spent afew days in Whangamata not far from the Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove - both worth a day trip.

Although I haven't mentioned it but my wife Sue and I are trekking and travelling together. Almost finished packing. What a fiasco! We are trekking in Nepal, so we have to pack for tramping and cold conditions and then down into India for a tour around. It will be a bit warmer, so we may have to send some trekking gear home. Went fishing yesterday and caught lots and lots of fish. The only problem was that all the fish I caught were teeny baby ones so we had to throw them back. Peter of course caught 3 massive fish, the biggest a 9kilo Kingfish which we are to eat tonight!! It was a bit gross when the bait was alive and trashing about splashing me with blood from it...

Hello! Time for an update.... I've spent the past week or so hitchiking around the North island, and it's been awesome- I hope to never have to take a bus again!
