I came back and rested up in Rurrenbaque for two days before going on a tour of the pampas.

So apparently I had not had enough of the jungle and definitely hadn't seen the wildlife I was hoping to. This time I headed out to the Pampas, the swamplike savanna to the north east of Rurrenabaque. At 8 in the morning my hostel rang the airline to check if the flights would be going, they didnt know and said they wouldnt know until 9. By this stage it would be too late so there was no choice but to go to the airport and wait. The flight ended up leaving only three hours delayed, which was nothing compared to an English couple I was waiting...

After waiting a few day for the rain to clear I flew to Rurrenabaque. It is a cool little town in the jungle that is the base of operations for a lot of tours into Madidi Park and the surrounding jungles and pampas (wetlands).
