Here are some pictures of Mother's day in Thailand. Mothers Day in Thailand is on the Queens birthday which is Aug. 12th.

We had a chance to attend a funeral of a Monk. We were able to take lots of pictures. It was fascinating and showed a lot of insight into Buddhism.

We arrived after an 11 hour train ride in Khon Kaen. We then took a Tuk-Tuk taxi to the bus station. We boarded a Golden Dragon Busline bus to our destination of Roi Et, a city of about 33,000 in the East central part of Thailand. Upon arrival in Roi Et our tour guide, Randy, took us to a $12 a night hotel. We rested up a bit...

Yeah baby here we go, another blog entry and to top it off, it's one of the last ones from the greater Asian continent. Pretty soon, before you know it I will be back amongst the jagged snow capped mountains and watching as the eagles swoop around town before taking to the wilderness for the salmon runs. I look forward to two things about Alaska...
