After enjoying some worldclass trekking, we headed toward Puerto Madryn, the gaterway for Peninsula Valdes, THE place to see argentinian wildlife. The trip was long - it took nearly 24 hours to get from EL Chalten to Puerto Madryn. We stopped in Rio Gallegos, a small town on the east cost. Nothing to see there, really. We moved on immediatelly.

well, we left el bolson on an overnight bus and arrived in comodoro rivadavia the next morning. we had to wait an hour or so for our next bus to rio gallegos. that was 12 hours of nothingness. i mean total nothingness. no tress, no hills, no towns, nothing. well, we did stop in one little town, but i just can´t understand how anyone could live t...

A very long bus journey to Rio Gallegos not helped by large lady with exceptionally stinky feet. Cheeky mare kept poking them through in between our seats so they were right under our noses. So the bus from Peurto Madryn left at 12.40pm so we did have the morning spare.. We slept in until 9am and headed out at 10am packs and all. We sat by the coast for a bit and just chilled before the bus to Rio Gallegos (Rio G)... Now the lonely planet does not rate Rio G as anything more than a stopover destination and we no doubt whole heartedl...

Finalmente llegué!! Después de un largo viaje estoy en Río Gallegos, sólo tengo unas horas horas para recorrer porque tengo otra conexión para llegar a El Calafate. Recorrí la ciudad a pie y en colectivo. La verdad no es nada del otro mundo, nada que me haya llamado demasiado la atención.
