4th April We waited at the bus station in Roxall (Indian Border Town) until we were able to get on the bus to Patna which left at 9pm. Typically it was the least comfortable of all the buses heading for Gaya that night but at least it had a TV I thought. There isn't much to say about Varanasi, the city where Hindus walk down the ghats (aka stairs?) to bathe in the Ganges. Not much nice to say anyway. Of every place I've been in the world this was the one that was most filled with people trying to make a rupee anyway they could. Once I stepped outside my door I wasn't able to have a moment alone....
