A stopover in Mersing, which is where we will need to get the ferry from to get to the next island on our travels.

Had great food at P1 Pizza and Pasta Restaurant and chatted to the really friendly Swiss owner of the place for a few hours. Omar's Backpackers has beds, four walls and not much else. A quick stopover, get the boat to Tioman Island in the morning. I'll stick to the plan and have an entry for everywhere we spend a night......so that's about all.

Just arrived in Mersing over on the east coast. Cats everywhere. Missed the last ferry so staying overnight. Should make it over to Pulau Tioman tomorrow..

The worst bus journey yet - as if the seats were designed as a form of torture, insistant on keeping you awake. Yet again, we arrived before schedule, this time about 4 am, with the boat for Tioman departing at 7.30. I collapsed on a bench, hugging my bags and fell asleep like a tramp! Mmm, nice! Mersing looked nice though... from the bench.
