After a long ride, we finally arrived in the middle of nowhere, in a town known as Lanquin. We stayed at a fun hostel located in the jungle, along side a pretty, nice river. We came here for a few attractions, the first being the bat caves located just outside of town.

Where to stay: The Casa Acuna is a little froo-froo and a bed is 50Q. The newer Casa Blanca is on the square, more chill, and a bed is 30Q a night.
Where to eat: Lots of comedors and cafeterias on the square.
Other stuff: Check to make sure the orchids are in bloom before heading to the nursery.

From Coban, it's a beautiful mountain drive in a mini-chicken bus to get to Lanquin, the town nearest the national park of Semuc Champey. Today we visited the lagoons of Semuc Champey. We only were able to enjoy them for about two hours before a torrential downpour stole the afternoon from us.
