Day 35 – Burlington, VT to Acadia National Park, Maine

Christen was nearly impossible to wake up this morning. We are hitting our wall. Both of us are exhausted… We had a suitable continental breakfast. They did have yogurt.

Today we went to the little port of Bar Harbor and walked around and took a few pictures. The sun was shining, but the air was cool. This port is a little larger than the one we visited in MA. We ate lunch at a little outside cafe and had lobster bisque and clam chowder. Still have not gone for the whole lobster. We hillbillies need some lessons...

My favorite hike while visiting the park was hiking up Beehive Mountain. It took us around an hour and it was steep but not too steep and there were hand and foot rails set into the stone at the very steep parts. The view from the top was beeeautiful and then we found out that there was a lake at the summit called the bowl which we hadn't known ...

We had a late start today and left Belfast headed for Bar Harbor. Our first stop was Fort Knox. We walked all over the place and went through the tunnels. It was ok, Rob is more interested in history than I am but I did get more interested when he was snapping pictures like crazy looking for ghosts:) Oddly enough we do have a series of pictures ...
