Alta Gracia is a small town about an hour south of Cordoba. It was an easy downhill run from the park to the town of Alta Gracia, apart from a climb in the middle back up to 1200m where there was an observatory. Reading the relevant part of my guidebook when I got down to the town revealed that this observatory can be visited. Top tip: always read your guidebook before visiting a place, rather than after...
