Door way to the north
Thanks to our tourist advisor in Ehringshausen we are staying in another romantic old town rather than the big city of Rostock.
After Peter checked out the local Port and our ship to Coppenhagen we wind our way through one way streets to find the secluded enclave of Warmemunde on the Baltic with sea huts, lighthouse and a thriving harbour - go Port Adelaide (a bit of work to do)!

... A man came walking from behind a large pile of stones and warmly greeted my host parents like they were old friends. I thought that this was a rather odd place to meet friends. Then we walked to the middle of the quarry, passing various piles of stones on all sides. Occasionally we would stop along the way and look at a pile and the man would explain to me what exactly we were looking for, in German of course. Again I did the 'smile and nod'. ...
