... and drink tea! WHAT?! Yay! She led us upstairs to her balcony. It looked like she probably hosted guests before, and she set up a little table and four chairs for us. It was absolutely breathtaking. Such a pretty view.

So, the chinese visa centre in Singapore would only grant me a 30 day visa for China. On Weds, Triston from Lopair took me to the visa centre in Hangzhou to apply for an extension. I believe it went well... Triston seemed to be in good terms with the visa officers and I know Lopair have dealt with this kind of thing before. My visa will be collected by Triston next week so fingers crossed nothing ...

I got up at 7:00 to get to the train station by 8:00 (I was 10 minutes late). Not to worry. I bumped into R and N who were buying coffee, and D was there too. I sat next to R on the train ride and we small talked about cities and math.

Eventually we were given a drink - for me it was orange juice and then a snack box containing, bizarrely, a bread roll, a small sachet of some sort of pickled cabbage and a piece of chiffon cake.
