Wednesday and Thursday Oct 15&16 Our first morning in Nice was slow. Slept in, had a late breakfast and eventually set off at 11am. It is situated in a nice park where a fair was starting with horse and dray rides, a children's farm and concert. The museum ...

An upmarket gourmet cookie man - I was in heaven. There was hand made chocolates too - pralines ...

... the beach, but now they are stone beaches instead of sand. Love how everyone gets out amongst it, all shapes, sizes and ages, and baked to a tan that will shrivel like a sultana no doubt! Loads of dogs on the beach lazing with their owners, or walking the streets and cafes. Small to medium dogs mainly. We turn inland now, heading up into the alps to find Peille. OMG...glad we hadn't been doing this at midnight the previous night! Glorious views quickly ...

Italy to France along the coast.

Italy, marked by delicious pasta and pizza, wine that's cheaper than water, and delays at the train station. Today we would only experience the third of the wonders of Italy. Our train was over an hour late arriving to Como. We just waited in wonder since the updates were in Italian. Unlike Venice, where we were stranded last year, there was only one platform, so we didn't have to wonder if we should catch a different train to ...
