The biggest problem with the rain was that it meant there was nowhere to sit, and standing at the back of the boat seems rather odd when you aren't in control of the tiller, plus Carrie moans that she can't see round me.

It was fortunate that we knew the way to Leicester as although we had set Doris, it had got really confused as to where we were and was telling us we were on the M1 when we were still in Chesterfield! When we got to Leicester, it was too early to check in to the hotel so we paid a short visit to see T's mum, Mildred at the Care ...

... couple of weeks ago with Claire to get a dress. I met at Claire's house to get ready, then her friends arrived in a taxi to pick us up. The ball was held at Drayton Manor, which is a theme park near Ashby. There was a professional taking photos there which was awesome, as he printed them off instantly for you to take. I just wish I had got more taken! We left the ball just after midnight. It was rather difficult to get up ...
