... for main. Surprise, no desserts! We are in Gloucestershire (I think, at least I walked through it today. Who knows where a shire starts or finishes?) so local dishes have a bit of a head start.
For the first time in days we haven't spent like a Greek government finance minister. No taxi fares, no theatre, really no anything except food and drink. I walk with a packet of 'hobnobs' and a packet ...

After an evening trying to find various equipment on the net, we managed to find a camping shop close by. So as the rain was yet again pouring down we decided to try to find it. We programmed the SatNav for a bus and feeling more confident set off for Arbury. What we didn't realise was, the being a French SatNav the French must have small buses! All went well for ...

By this time it had started to rain, but we decided to go out for another practice drive. So we set off for Market Bosworth. After trying to find the battle site, being taken down ...

... s disappointing. Not sure if it is the rain, or if we were expecting something different but the markets aren't hugely populated and the majority of stalls are new household goods. There are some fruit and veggies but they don't look local, so I am pretty sure they come from overseas. We walk around the town anyway and go to the local cathedral and museum. We did check out the church with the crooked spire. Mr S ...

Stratford upon Avon The promise of an eighteen degree sunny day has us excited as we set out on the Reader's Pilgrimage to the Shrine of the Bard. Arriving at the town of the Bard, the Bardette twitches with excitement at the prospect of being in Jerusalem, Mecca or Stratford, whichever is today's reality. We cross a street to a park beside canal boats ready for river cruises. We stop to pay homage to a large statue of the Bard on a pedestal, surrounded ...
