Today we leave Paris and head down the south west of France. We also needed to pick up the car we were going to use from the airport. We were originally going to pack up all our stuff and leave together to the airport but Eli decided that instead of having to take all our luggage on the trains, he and Michael would go and get the car in the morning while Kyria and I tidied up around the place.

We ate dinner at an Italian restaurant in the middle of a plaza, where the locals were a little subdued, as the French football team had just been beaten in the world cup by Germany! Then we visited the Chateau Royal de Blois for the nightly son et lumiere (sound and light) show, which dramatically depicted the chateau's rather turbulent - and sometimes gory - history. By the time that was over, it was almost 11.30pm - a very late night for us!
