A lot of people may wonder why I chose to travel by ferry between Japan and China and ask why not fly like any other normal person? Surely by now you must realise that I'm not your average person and also, where is the adventure in flying! This morning I woke up nice and early, ate my croissant (brought it yesterday on my food spree) pocketed the last of my yen and set of for the ferry terminal. My chariot, the Utopia, was a big ship, she had 3 decks ...

... There was a sign at the counter but of course it was all in Japanese, so in desperation, I went to the next counter which was selling tickets for Busan (Korea) and asked the lady if she knew how I can buy a ticket for Qingdao. The lady at the front desk was able to give us a photocopy of an English book explaining the poets life and why he is so signifigant to Japanese history. The museum wasn`t all that interesting, but it was cool and indoors, so we sat down and read all about this Japanese poet.
    After the museum, ...

Today I wanted to walk down to the grocery store that we always went to when I lived at the university so we got up early and went out before it could get too hot out. Even at 10am it was still about 28・C. The walk to the university according to the sign near our hotel was 2km, but since the gorcery store isn`t quite as far as the university it only took us about 20 mins. On the walk to the grocery store, I also wanted to see if some of the places we used to hang out at ...
