I left my van in san francisco...!!
... are 45..!!.. it was dark when we came out so decided to walk up steep hills to see the pacific heights, before catching the bus back,an area where the houses/flats are worth millions... they are so different in style and so ornate and the streets are so clean ... also near here is the famous zigzag street which had queuing traffic winding all the way back up very cool..

We have definetely Crossed the First Threshold
... we can hear delivery trucks arriving and people coming home from work. Lots of honking, screaming, and talking coming from below us. Tomorrow promises to be intersting, as we'll be sightseeing a little before we leave. This is definetely the Belly of the Best.
This is similar to Bilbo's stay with the Elfs, except that his stay was comfy and mind rebuilding.

San Francisco. ( Day two)
... br> Another hot and dry day , in the high 20's. I can see I will have some difficulty acclimatizing to the change when I return to Shropshire !
One more full day tomorrow, so I hope to have some interesting thing's to report or show. To date I have taken over 600 photo's, in day's gone by, that would have been 20 reels of film !

... Burritos. Nach dem Essen haben wir uns die unzähligen Souvenirläden angeschaut. Es gab dort sogar immer noch den Laden nur mit Magneten, an den ich mich noch erinnern kann, da ich ihn als Kind schon so faszinierend fand. Im Hard Rock Cafe kauften wir uns natürlich ein Souvenierglas für unsere Sammlung.
Auf dem Rückweg sind wir steil bergauf gekeucht um zur bekannten kurvigen Lombard Street zu kommen. Dort sind wir mit anderen Touristen die Treppen rauf ...
