        ... walking tour of the old town. We started off at St. Michael's Gate, the last surviving part of the old city wall. Close by was a marker in the pavers from which all points in Slovakia are measured. It's only since the fall of communism that this area of town has been maintained/restored. After the war, cobblestones were sold to cute little German towns trying to rebuild. Now the main pedestrian zone that starts at St. Michael's Gate is very charming with cute little courtyard ...

        ... kind of skips to three of the characters being mocked for their catholic beliefs and eventually brutally and violently killed by a mad man. It was a bit disturbing actually.         After having enjoyed the beauty of the Slovakian capital, we enjoyed its very nutritive food just before getting on the boat. Cheese gnocci, cheese-dumplings and gulash filled our bellies for the next 20 hours.
