43km, 20-37deg, fine and sunny. After an early brekkie in the hotel (B & B Hotel) we were on the way by 8am. Our main objective for today was to visit the Aircraft and Motor Museum at Sinshein. It's one of the biggest in the world. Arrived about lunch time after some challenging navigational issues, mainly due to the fact that we we off the beaten track. However most of the ride was fairly pleasant, with a ...

... the palace or grounds it's got to be one of the prettiest we've seen from the outside. The flower gardens were truly spectacular. While we were in this town we stopped off for mornos at a nearby bakery. For a lot of the trip we had a view of very steep terraced vineyards; part of the Neckar Valley Wine Region. Checked out some nice quiet parks and gardens which is always nice when you're in a noisy city full of old men in very fast and high revving cars (mainly Mercs and Porsche sports cars) who are trying to impress the young chics. We also went to check out the Botanical Gardens but found them behind the same fence as the Zoo, which was closing in 10 minutes. We thought we'd cracked it until we realised that we had got Parkhaus (a ...

Dad picked us up for breakfast. Nothing special... Just every fruit, vegetable, cereal, meat, bread, fish, dairy item, juice, alcoholic beverage, etc etc known to man!! In immaculate surroundings with ever-attentive waitresses. Not bad, we spose... The ultimate in luxury! Prego was in her element and had a few bits of smoked salmon under the table. We then drove to the ...

... the route down is easy and quick. We drive on through the mountains and arrive in Mutzig, just outside Strasbourg, where we spend the night wild camping under a bridge like a pair of slightly dirty trolls.

On Saturday we awake to find our "tucked away bridge"is embarrassingly close to someone's very see-through fence. Gas pressure is low due to the cold (we can see our breath!) So we make a bit os a lame slow-cooked eggs and cold bread with butter (not ...
