What we did over Christmas vacation

... Old City Center is a Unesco World Heritage Site, I presume because so much of it is hundreds of years old and well-preserved. Cesky Krumlov suffered little damage during WWII or the Russian occupation. It is like stepping into a time capsule, with narrow winding cobblestone streets, old stone buildings and interesting wooden doors. Very friendly and entertaining.

It had taken us about the same time to walk from Radanov to Schenkenfelden as it had our family, although ...

We came out of the forest to a large sloping field, as often occurs you follow a well defined track into a field and the track becomes many that just peter out and you can't find the continuation on the other side. We scouted around the lower edge near the creek and a sign - POZOR - the far side - the top. With our maps out trying to work out the contours, compass directions ( I'm actually not great working a compass but did a good job ...
