    Now, I don't know the first thing about mushrooms, despite the reputation I might have as a Dutchie. I think my Dad the Biologist skipped something in my education there. I vaguely remember a mushrooming expedition in Sweden when I was 6 or 7, but my most vivid memories of that trip are actually of the home-made cranberry compote that accompanied the deer or wild boar we had for dinner.
