... view of the Elbe River. It appears to be a shallow river as it has wide banks on both sides. There are a number of flat bottomed cruise boats moored. An old bridge connects the old town to the new town and adjacent areas. We then had the task of selecting a restaurant for dinner. The bride chose a traditional German restaurant where we both enjoyed a hearty meal. Ice cream to wash it down and then back to the apartment by 9:00pm. ... the blog and reading. After lunch we spent a couple of hours walking around Dresden taking photos. Back for afternoon tea and rest. This would mean leaving for Bayreuth from Dresden rather than Konigstein as planned. We may be able to get a bus tour out to the 'Saxon Switzerland' rather than cycling there. It all depends on what we see from the train when we go to Prague on Wednesday.

Noodles are good

... to cut (mostly) bread. Germans really love their fresh bread, and so, to keep it perfect, they don't use a knife and do it by hand, they have these machines to run the bread through and make perfectly even slices.
A funny thing I've noticed is punctuality. Everything is really on time (especially the trains (I think I've mentioned that before too, how the schedule usually has a weird time, like 10:28 being the departure time, and you will look at you clock and ...
