We walked for about an hour along the coast. It gives you an idea of how prehistoric man must have felt walking across landmasses during low sea level times.
Apparently the mud has curative properties. Michael frolicked in one of the local children's mud pit in the hope of improving his legs. They look ten years younger !

Morgens verliessen wir das Grand Elisee Hotel ohne Frühstück. Da die S-Bahn nach Harburg bereits um 6:59 ging hatten wir zu wenig Zeit. Außerdem halte ich fast 25€ für ein Frühstück schlicht für unverschämt. Stattdessen gab es im Bahnhof einen Kaffee und ein Franzbrötchen - das kriegt man nämlich im Ländle nicht. I had to get a couple just for the novelty factor. We got some reasonably healthy food too - mostly bread things, fruit ...
