... We also went looking in a few shops and bought 2 amazing Christmas tree decorations. Switzerland does Christmas so well! We had lunch at migros restaurant which is basically like a Coles restaurant. It looks like the ikea food area inside and you can get an awesome range of things for pretty good prices. ... police drama because of the constant wailing of the emergency sirens. Yesterday I was in a Paris movie - perhaps an inspector clusoe! More interesting facts on Zurich is that they have set themselves a target to use 1 million tonnes of CO2 per person by 2050. They have a high standard of living and high wages but apparently they work long hours (I can't see how that can qualify them for a high standard of living). ... all light headed like we've had a little too much to drink. Breathing was a little more laboured too but the overall experience was exhilarating. We continued to the ice palace where everything was made of shimmering ice where we saw amazing carvings from ice. The Alpine sensation was a great eyeopening experience. It links the Sphinx & the Ice Palace and presents the history of the place where the Jungfrau Railway took 16 years to complete. ...

... few hours so we checked out the covered bridges and the old fortress wall. I wish Canada had history like Europe sometimes. The old walls and castles are pretty cool. It was supposed to start raining in the afternoon so this was the perfe t time to go on a boat tour we just went roundtrip from Lucerne to Beckenried.
