A long day today, a two hour drive to Chiemsee to take a boat across the lake to Herrenchiemsee the last of the castles built for Ludwig II that we are going to see on our tour. We make a stop in Bad Toelz on the way to shop for a takeaway lunch and have an excellent coffee and cake. The boat ride is only 15 minutes then we get a horse and carriage to the castle itself. Anni had suggested we stay in the hotel Schick for an extra day. Such a good idea, as it turned out. It poured rain all day, so we ventured out once, only to do the supermarket shopping and a coffee overlooking the lake. Too lazy even to to do the pool or sauna.
