    ... along the boardwalk and scouted two potential dining spots. I will not bore you with more food pics; suffice it to say the meal was good - not exceptional. The setting was great along the Rhine in an old family run Gasthof Adler.

    Tomorrow will be an easy drive back to Dan and Andrea's place - something under three hours.
    Hope everyone is having a good Remembrance Day remembering what it was all about those many years ago!!

    ... waiter last night was homesick and missed his new baby, he is from the Philippines, very young guy - maybe 30 - so we inquire - turns out he has 4 kids, 2 ex-wives, and this new wife with the two newest kids.     Of course today is the biggest picture day...the Middle Rhine where all the castles are one after another. We awoke to fog so we were a little worried but the captain slowed the ship and the fog lifted and it was a perfect day. Still a little chilly up on the sun deck but beautiful.     I left the depressingly renovated guest room early enough to visit the local bookshops and the amazing converted Metropole.
