We stayed overnight at Rothenberg, a fully wall enclosed 16th century town, all the houses and inns are authentic and at night the lighting in many of the shop windows gives a real feel of the world of Dickens and Tiny Tim. Would love to see it in winter with snow on the ground. Our guest house used to be the mayors house.

Today we visited the tiny walled town of Berching...about 30 mins west of Parsburg. The breakfast selection was awesome this morning with a variety of choices besides the usual bacon and eggs. There was also smoked salmon, chocolate brownies and even pretzels!
